The hearts and minds behind Booyah Books
We're Yvette and Marcelโtwo lifelong storytellers who believe that the right story, shared at the right moment, can change everything. Having read to many little ones over the years, we know the sacred power of bedtime stories. We've seen how the right words can calm fears, build confidence, and create unbreakable bonds between parent and child.
That's why we founded Booyah Booksโto create stories that entertain, empower, heal, and transform ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
Yvette's journey spans over 25 years as "The Soul Whisperer," a transformational mentor who has guided visionary leaders using ancient healing practices and modern coaching. Her diverse background includes 30 years of martial arts training, during which she earned three black belts. She is also an expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic practices, and bio-resonance quantum technology, and has held senior roles in corporate communications.
As the founder of Singing Soul Books since 2019, Yvette has empowered countless authors through comprehensive publishing support. Her own acclaimed works include the "Ethan and the Seven Chakras" series, "Toronto Graffiti: The Human Behind the Wall" (part of the National Library of Canada's permanent collection), and "Toxic Mold."
Now, with Booyah Books, Yvette channels decades of holistic wisdom into children's literature, creating stories that not only entertain but also heal, empower, and nurture emotional intelligence in young hearts.
Marcel's transformation from corporate executive to children's author is a testament to the power of following your heart. After years in the business world, he realized that his true calling was creating stories that teach life's most important lessons through fairy tales and magical adventures.
With over two decades of expertise in corporate leadership development and organizational psychology, Marcel brings structure, strategy, and business acumen to Booyah Books. As owner and general manager of SeminarPartner S.L. and consultant for WALK in EMEA, he specializes in value-based leadership and conscious culture development.
His unique approach to "Storytelling and Verbal Placebos" as a Mindvalley speaker demonstrates his understanding of narrative as a transformational tool. Marcel's published works include "Princess Rosalinda and the Color Pink," showcasing his versatility across children's literature and professional development.
His journey reflects our core belief that it's never too late to pursue your dreams and make a meaningful impact. Marcel's stories often feature brave characters who discover their inner strength, teaching children that they too have everything they need inside them.
Together, Yvette and Marcel create more than just booksโthey craft experiences that transform families. Their complementary gifts of healing and storytelling, intuition and strategy, create a unique approach to children's literature that touches hearts and changes lives.
Our core values shape every story we tell and every interaction we have.
Every child deserves to feel deeply, unshakably lovedโnot for what they do, but for who they are. Our stories foster a sense of belonging and self-worth.
We seamlessly weave Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into engaging narratives, helping children understand and navigate their feelings with confidence.
Our books encourage resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning, empowering children to embrace challenges and grow from every experience.
Designed to create precious moments of connection, our stories turn reading time into an opportunity for deeper understanding and bonding between parents and children.
